If it was something negative it would be.. but right now is just a deafening silence.. and that’s to be expected. Elsewhere on the internet this news is banging.

The fridge comparison from Microsoft on Twitter is kicks.

”The form factor is cute, the 2.4GB/s of guaranteed throughput is impressive, but it's the software APIs and custom hardware built into the SoC that deliver what Microsoft believes to be a revolution - a new way of using storage to augment memory (an area where no platform holder will be able to deliver a more traditional generational leap). The idea, in basic terms at least, is pretty straightforward - the game package that sits on storage essentially becomes extended memory, allowing 10...

A lot of those duplicate files won’t exist this time around.

I think game sizes will be smaller in the 4K department thanks to the speeds these new consoles are dishing out.

Batteries makes sense. You’re on a road trip using Xcloud who really wants to possibly charge the phone and controller at the same time. That’s dumb. There whole no internal battery vision makes sense for what they are doing.

Xbox controllers are regarded as the best controller from many gamers and is a standard on PC

Poor execution. You have the entire android OS on your side.. you could’ve had a free rollout like Xcloud but on a bigger scale right under your fingers Googles.

Worked out the kinks and data until they received positive feedback THEN dropped the console.

They jumped in balls deep way too early with the tech because someone in their higher ups is way out of touch with the reality of things and now they pay the price.

Definitely sounds like Microsoft and Samsung.

GameStop needs a new layer of technology to stay around. Instead of trying to remain physical they need to think of ways to improve the digital wave.

The first target always for a corporation are the poor to middle class. If they could get on board with google or Verizon and get their stores fitted and built for Ultra High Speed FiOs and data transferring and possibly get their own app on consoles for Pre-owned digital licenses it could be just the quirk they need.

And then there’s the GitHub leaks, Kadoris team working with Sony on a mid range Navi.

I mean to me.. it’s painted out clearly. I’ll see you guys on the posts that will be poring in once Sony drops those specs.

From the horses actual mouth guys.. a long time ago. This isn’t surprising. You just think Microsoft’s patented variable rate shading, microsofts DXR being integral with their GPU efficiency gains for ray tracing stated directly from AMD AND AMD stating their future is cloud based ray tracing is a part of a shared 2.0? Soooo they aren’t working together?.... S...

Stop it. It’s been slightly customized for ray tracing. It’s been common knowledge for some time now Sony went with AMD to create a custom Mid range Navi with ray tracing cores to fit a vision that “developers asked them for” It’s RDNA 1.5 and misses the full benefits of RDNA 2.

Microsoft as you can obviously tell went with “we want what you are building for tomorrow” and it actually has living proof of that.

I want to know when people will stop asking MS to unveil their gaming portfolio in March. Considering they are actually showing up to E3.. I think that would be the better stage for games while taking the early months on letting mass know you have a clear power advantage but let me guess... all 15 studios just are doing nothing... Let’s be real.... If the AMD benchmarks where spot on with the XSX months before the info drop.. the whole 3 benchmarks that are identical with the PS4/ps4 pro cloc...

I’d like to believe that. But the whole waiting for Xbox to reveal their price thing wouldn’t make sense.. and the board members wouldn’t be fighting over to make a profit or loss... because a profit on something of that magnitude would be a death sentence.

So nay sir

After being almost dominant for 2 generations and competing against a console that got discontinued at around 20mil its previous gen...being proud that it caught up to system that wouldn’t sell a mil in Japan like the ps3 that we alll expected or a system that’s not even offered in pal regions...isn’t impressive. That’s not winning.. that’s people wanting a blu ray drive for cheap.

12 teraflops of RDNA 2. It’s only a 15% difference but in theory it’s 13.8 in comparison to the mid range Navi of the Ps5. A subject we can’t speak on yet but will be the talk of the town come info release.

2261d ago 4 agree17 disagreeView comment

Maybe not in sales but on a technical level I think it towers over the the Ps5.

Way too many custom bells and whistles in the system. It’s also looking like if both systems were even the same in teraflops the Xbox Series X teraflops would be 15% more efficient thanks to RDNA 2. In a sense Xbox Series X Teraflops is 13.8 in Ps5 teraflops. That’s an almost 5 teraflop difference in performance and that’s staggering if 3rd parties vow to push each system to its limits.... and t...

Whispers of a Windows boot mode to allow access to your epic and Steam library. If that’s true 1... it’ll be a game changer and 2.... It makes sense because one way or another you’ll purchase a service here or there to get access to the titles dropping from XGS because that’s their end game.

Boot into your controller v controller environment on the Xbox servers.

OR continue to game your traditional way on the unbalanced shit show of PC gaming but actually...

Indeed...exciting times ahead. There’s going to be a large push of new IPs in the pipeline by default. Even if half did AAA that puts them at a higher first party release rate over their competitors if they stick to a 2 year cycle. Until they drop and we see how they rate I will reserve judgment but if they can push quality along with their staggering quantity over their competitors first party... it will make Xbox a different kind of beast.

And on the 3rd party side of thi...

Sit down and maybe google it yourself my questions have arisen from googling sir.

Most if not.. almost every article on the subject says AMD collaborated with Sony for a “‘mid range market performance Navi for their 2020 console”

With Xbox definitely aiming for high end along with all the official slides that you can “google” any logical person would ask these questions but definitely without someone getting defensive it seems...

I need more to talk on the differences between rdna 1.0 and RDNA 2.0...the tech talk on Reddit, DF and other forums based on leaks say that the Ps5 uses a customized version of 1.0 to allow the ray tracing (Essentially a 1.5) but doesn’t have the graphical Efficiency optimizations of 2.0. Since Sony helped develop the 7nm Navi for PS while Microsoft invested in what’s beyond..the 7nm+ Design utilizing RDNA 2.0 I feel there’s a larger difference at play between the 2 we can’t let on until Son...
